Ruth Brown - Rock & Roll [Mono]

The queen of the original rhythm and blues sound, Ruth Brown, made a fiery debut in 1957 with 'Rock & Roll'. Brown went down in music history as one of the most talented singers of her time, and this album marked the beginning of her multi-million selling career with Atlantic Records.
Exciting, fresh, raw - the blossoming style of rock & roll is celebrated here, and the first audiophile-quality release gives Brown's powerful, emotional voice and diverse backing musicians a generous playing surface. Exuberant tracks alternate with slow, restrained songs, and you can feel through and through that Brown has lived what she sings.
The album is limited to 2,000 copies.
